Program Description

The statistics program at Snow College helps students to gain skills in data analysis, model building, and understanding statistical research. Statistics is an essential tool for students interested in general research in most fields. It is a particularly good fit for those who are interested in understanding how businesses and organizations use data to make informed decisions.

Program Outcomes

A student who completes an associate degree in Statistics will be able to do the following.

  • Students will be able to perform calculations successfully and sufficiently to solve problems at the program level.
  • Students will be able to interpret and explain information presented in mathematical forms (e.g., equations, graphs, diagrams, tables, words)
  • Students will be able to select and apply correct mathematical concepts to model real-world problems and draw appropriate conclusions.
