Program Description
Mathematics is a tool to model and understand the world around us. It is used in virtually every career and is a part of our daily life. The mathematics program at Snow College not only helps those students who think they don’t have a “math brain,” but our skilled faculty is also well-equipped to challenge and prepare students for further education in a variety of STEM fields.
Program Outcomes
A student who completes an associate degree in Mathematics will be able to do the following.
- Students will be able to perform calculations successfully and sufficiently to solve problems at the program level
- Students will be able to interpret and explain information presented in mathematical forms (e.g., equations, graphs, diagrams, tables, words).
- Students will be able to select and apply correct mathematical concepts to model real-world problems and draw appropriate conclusions.
