Program Description
Physics is the science of matter, energy, and the fundamental forces that shape our universe. It helps us understand how the physical world operates, from the smallest subatomic particles to the vastness of space. A strong foundation in physics is essential for careers in engineering, astronomy, data science, renewable energy, and many other fields. Physics holds the key to solving global challenges—advancing technology, understanding the cosmos, and developing sustainable energy solutions. If you're passionate about uncovering the laws of nature and making discoveries that can transform the world, this is the subject for you.
Program Outcomes
A student who completes an associate degree in Physics will be able to do the following.
- Understand and apply the laws of physics to solve problems
- Design and build an experiment to compare with theoretical models.
- Students will successfully transfer into a Bachelor’s of Science program in Physics or a related major.
