Program Description

The education program at Snow College offers a strong foundation for tomorrow’s teachers, giving students the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice as they learn what is required to be an excellent primary or secondary teacher. Students learn about educational psychology, technology in education, teaching special needs students, and more.

Program Outcomes

• Students will recognize the diversity found in our classrooms and identify ways to effectively teach all of their students.

The requirements below will earn you an associate degree, but Snow offers other prerequisites that you will need for your bachelor's degree. Students are encouraged to more fully prepare for transfer by completing the suggested plan of study.

AS Requirements

To earn an AS in Education at Snow College, students must complete 60 credits, including the general education requirements and the following major requirements.

While the AS is recommended, students can earn an AA in Education by completing the foreign language requirement as part of their 60 credits.
