Civil and Environmental Engineering (AS)

Program Description

The associate degree in Civil Engineering introduces students to structural design, surveying, construction materials, and project management.

Note: The Associate of Pre-Engineering is recommended as the best degree for transfer to a four-year program. It has an advising track for Civil and Environmental Engineering. Students completing the AS on this page will need to take additional credits at their transfer institution to be ready for junior-level engineering classwork.

Program Outcomes

Students who complete an associate degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering should expect the following outcomes from the program:

  • Students can acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.
  • Students have a feasible plan for completing a four-year degree in engineering or computer science.
