Program Description
The mission of the Snow College music department is to provide students with a high-quality music education through innovative and engaging course and degree offerings. Students pursuing the AS in Music at Snow College will be prepared to continue in the Bachelor of Music program at Snow College or another institution.
Program Outcomes
A student who completes an associate degree in Music will be able to do the following.
- Students will possess the Music Theory and Aural Skills necessary to work independently in the music field and/or as a music educator, or to successfully enter a Graduate music degree program.
- Students will have knowledge of a wide variety of solo and ensemble literature suitable for use in public performance, classroom teaching, and/or in the private studio.
- Students will demonstrate performance capabilities in various idioms, including the ability to perform, improvise, compose, arrange, and/or score.
