Program Description
The Snow College Dance program welcomes students of all backgrounds and abilities, including those who have never taken a dance class before. Course offerings include classes in beginning to advanced level ballet, contemporary modern, jazz, tap, improvisation, dance conditioning, and choreography. Whether you plan to major in dance or are just looking for a way to get some movement in your day, our dance classes are for you!
Program Outcomes
A student who completes an associate degree in Dance will be able to do the following.
- Students will demonstrate intermediate to advanced level of performance proficiency that is equivalent to the first two years of study at four-year dance institutions.
- Students will demonstrate intermediate to advanced level of performance proficiency that is equivalent to the first two years of study at four-year dance institutions.
- Students will demonstrate intermediate to advanced level of improvisational, compositional, and choreographic proficiency that is equivalent to the first two years of study at four-year dance institutions.
- Students will demonstrate collaborative proficiency as it applies to the creation and implementation of a dance concert performance.
