Program Description
The curriculum for the Architecture program is designed to offer a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience that goes beyond traditional classroom instruction. Through project-based learning, students develop design and technical skills while gaining an understanding of classical and traditional architectural principles. The curriculum supports multiple career pathways while providing a strong foundation for employment, advanced education, and continued architectural studies.
Program Outcomes
Students who complete the associate degree in Architecture will be able to do the following.
- demonstrate proficiency in architectural drafting and design, including BIM skills and 3D modeling
- show knowledge of building codes, zoning, materials, and accessibility requirements for residential design
- apply classical design principles in their work
- demonstrate competence in light construction techniques with the ability to communicate such methods for design
- communicate ideas through visual presentations
- exhibit a strong professional work ethic and commitment to quality
