Program Description
This certificate equips students with essential financial and business skills needed for entry-level accounting positions and further study in business-related fields. Students learn fundamental accounting principles, including bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, payroll procedures, budgeting, and the use of accounting software. Designed for flexibility, the certificate benefits recent high school graduates, working professionals, entrepreneurs, and individuals seeking career advancement or a pathway into degree programs in accounting or business administration.
Business Program Outcomes
A student who completes the Basic Accounting certificate should expect the following outcomes from the program:
